To protect consumer health, the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee has issued a Plan to implement food safety work during the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin and the 2024 Spring Festival season.
Accordingly, all levels, sectors and localities promote propaganda and dissemination of production and business models, products, safe food chains, and traditional local products to promote and encourage local products. Producing safe food products with bold traditions and local specialties.
For food producers, processors and traders, the province propagates and disseminates regulations on conditions in food production, processing and trading. For food consumers, local authorities propagate and guide how to choose and buy safe food and how to prepare food safely.
At the same time, the province strengthens interdisciplinary inspection and testing from the province to the commune level, focusing on product groups that are consumed a lot during Tet and Festivals with high risk factors.
In order to effectively prevent counterfeit goods and ensure food safety and hygiene during the Lunar New Year, in addition to raising awareness of producers, businesses and consumers, there needs to be consensus off ministries and responsibilities of all levels, branches, organizations, agencies, and local authorities in strengthening inspection and examination to strictly handle violations of food safety.
