Lam Binh actively removes temporary and dilapidated housing

TQO - After 3 years of implementing the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing for poor households in the province, hundreds of households in Lam Binh district have been able to settle down in new in the period 2021 - 2025.

Ms. Giang Thi Xa from Na Cooc village, Binh An commune (Lam Binh) is happy with her newly built solid house.

In 2023, the district strives to reduce the poverty rate by 3% or more compared to the multidimensional poverty line for the period 2021 - 2025.

Mr. Hoang Van Thuc, Head of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Lam Binh district, said that taking advantage of the investment resources of programs and projects, the district also coordinated with banks to prioritize capital for poor households to repair and build new houses, borrow capital to create jobs for local people.

In addition, the district continues to promote contributions from agencies, units, businesses, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and benefactors both inside and outside the district to participate in eliminating temporary housing for households.

With the drastic direction of the Party Committee and authorities, and the joint assistance of socio-political organizations, the work of eliminating temporary housing and dilapidated houses in Lam Binh district has contributed to supporting the poor households as well as gradually rising out of poverty sustainably.
