Keeping the forest green

TQO - Protecting the green forests, the green lungs of the Earth, is a very glorious and noble task, but also very arduous and strenuous for the Forest Rangers and forest patrol staff.

Whether day or night, amidst the vast waves of water or deep in the old forests, the patrolling footsteps of "soldiers with green military titles" still ply their way through the forest, mountains to keep the forests greener.

Tuyen Quang is one of the leading localities in the country in terms of forest coverage, with an area of 382,625.75 hectares, accounting for 65.21%. (In photo: Thousands of years old natural forests are strictly protected).

To get the immense green color of the forests, there are countless silent footprints in the patrolling journey of forest rangers and forest patrol officers. (In the photo: Officer of Area A Forest Ranger Station, part of Na Hang Ranger District, patrols and protects the forest).

However, the forest area is large and the ranger force is not enough; Meanwhile, the tricks of those exploiting and transporting forest products are increasingly sophisticated, complex and aggressive, making the work of forest protection always dangerous.

The soldiers guarding the forests day and night have to climb passes, wade streams, and patrol, facing hardship and danger, to bring the immense green color to the forests today.

Day and night, the silent dedication and efforts of the "forest guards".

With the water surface area of the Na Hang - Lam Binh ecological lake being over 8,000 hectares, to manage and protect the forest, the Tuyen Quang Forest Protection Department has set up forest protection stations on the lake bed area. To patrol and protect the forest in the lake bed area, Forest Rangers must use specialized canoes.

However, amidst the vast waves of water, the story of no phone signal is a constant at forest protection posts. (In the photo: To call his family, forest patrol officer Nguyen Van Anh from Khuon Phay forest protection post (Lam Binh Protection Forest Management Board) hung up the phone to catch the signal.

In the middle of the forest, there is no electricity, no cabinets to preserve food, only dried fish fish, roasted peanuts and dried meat hanging on the stove are the main dishes of the forest keepers.

Overcoming everything with love for the job and the forest, smiles are always present on the faces of the forest keepers.

The "forest guards" have lived their lives attached to the vast green. For them, seeing lush green forests full of life is joy and happiness.
