Honoring and spreading the Ao Dai heritage

TQO - Ao Dai is the traditional costume of Vietnamese women. The Ao Dai has become a beautiful feature in Vietnamese culture, an embodiment of the nation, a symbol of the beauty of Vietnamese women. In order to arouse the responsibility to preserve and promote the Vietnamese cultural heritage among cadres, members, women and the whole society, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union has launched the Ao Dai Week nationwide on the occasion of the International Women's Day on March 8.

These days, the Women's Unions at all levels in the province have had many practical activities in response to the Ao Dai Week of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. In offices, in every village, from cities to remote areas, the Ao Dai has become a clothing theme that women are very interested in. In many different ways such as: wearing traditional Ao Dai on working days, attending community cultural events, or taking photos wearing Ao Dai at relics and scenic spots of the homeland to post on social networks, women have contributed to honoring the cultural heritage of Vietnamese women.

In particular, in response to Ao Dai Week, the Provincial Women's Union organized a program of Ao Dai performance, folk dance exchange with the theme "Colors of Tuyen Quang Women" and donated 65 Ao Dai sets to women in difficult circumstances in Tuyen Quang city and Yen Son district.

Through practical activities, Vietnamese women have contributed to inspiring and spreading meaningful, positive messages about love, national pride, about the country, people and Vietnamese Ao Dai to the public. At the same time, contributing to the values ​​of Ao Dai to be soon recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage and further as a World Cultural Heritage.
