The Mong Hoa people in Xuan Lap Commune preserves their traditional embroidery craf.

Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Xuan Lap Commune (Lam Binh) Chuc Thi Xuan said that the Mong ethnic people account for over 60% of the total population of Xuan Lap Commune, of which the Mong Hoa people account for about 35%, mostly in Khuoi Trang and Khuoi Cung hamelts. The Mong Hoa people in the locality have still preserved their traditional cultural identities such as Khen dancing, rituals and costumes.

The H'mong people embroider many different fabrics with colors and fabrics. For Mong Hoa people, before embroidery, it must be painted with beeswax, through many stages, there is a mold for embroidery.

In particular, the technique of drawing beeswax is not simple. To draw beeswax on fabric, you must use a paintbrush. The thinner the nib, the more beautiful the drawing will be. When drawing, the painter always sits by the fire, dip the pen into the hot beeswax pan placed on the embers, and draw straight lines on the canvas. She must keep the amount of wax flowing evenly, not patchy until the end, then dip the pen into the wax to continue drawing. After shaping with beeswax, the woman proceeds to embroider.

H'mong people live with nature, so the motifs and patterns are all vividly simulated the nature of the highland areas. In addition, it also shows the desire of happiness, good luck and prosperity for all the family.
