Rocket pigs are often used to make dishes in homestay of the Tay people. Rocket pork can be cooked into many dishes such as grilled meat, boiled meat, but steamed meat is still preferred by many people, because it retains the sweetness and aroma of rocket pork.
The cook often chooses the meat of the shoulder of the pig to steam the water for about 1 hour. When rocket pork is cooked, it can be thinly sliced and displayed on a plate, garnished with herbs to make the dish beautiful.
The dish is served with boiled bamboo shoots and dipped into a bowl of 'me' (fermented rice).
