In Tuyen Quang, there are 889.125 people, in which ethnic minority people account for 480.320 people with 46,2% Tay people, 23,7% Dao people, 15,9% San Chay people, 4,8% H’mong people.
However, many young ethnic people do not know speak their own language as well as have limited knowledge and practice of their traditional culture.
This fact not only promotes the role and responsibility of authorities and those responsible for cultural work, but also requires serious and decisive participation from each family in educating and teaching children to respect the traditional cultural values of their ethnic group, especially language and writing, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity.
