Planning, preserving and developing tourism in Dong Da village

TQO - Recognizing the potential, strengths and unique values ​​of Dong Da village, Thuong Nong commune (Na Hang), since 2020, the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates of Thuong Nong commune Party Committee has pointed out the necessary to restore, preserve and promote traditional cultural values, attracting tourists to visit the ancient Tay village of Dong Da hamlet, Thuong Nong commune.

Dong Da village has a beautiful complex of stilt houses.

Dong Da village currently has 108 households, 508 people, 100% of whom are Tay people. Currently, over 80% of the households in the village still preserve traditional stilt houses. Stilt houses in the village are often built by the people in the style of 3 rooms, wooden pillars, and roofed with yin-yang tiles. The kitchen is still placed in the center of the house. Many good wooden houses here have existed for hundreds of years.

Implementing the Resolution of the Commune Party Committee, the Thuong Nong Commune Party Committee issued an Action Program, and the Commune People's Committee developed a Plan to deploy and organize the implementation of the set goals. Thanks to the participation of the Party Committee, socio-political organizations and the high response of the people, the orientation to preserve and promote the cultural identity of Dong Da village has many clear changes.

First, the commune established the Management Board of Dong Da Village Community Cultural Tourism Village. The Management Board consists of prestigious and responsible people elected to carry out the necessary work to keep Dong Da ancient village on the right track and achieve the set goals. Special attention is paid to the protection of the environment, natural landscape, drainage system, and livestock barns in the village, ensuring the beauty of the tourist site.

Dong Da village is gradually consolidating the art troupe - where there are active and talented core members. Teaching Then, playing the Tinh lute, and singing Coi are carried out regularly and continuously. Many households with beautiful stilt houses were invited to visit and receive training in homestay tourism in places both inside and outside the province.

Households in the village were trained in growing vegetables, raising livestock and poultry in a safe and traditional way. The village also gradually completed the village street lighting system, installed more wifi, planted more trees, and installed a clean water supply system, etc.

With the efforts of the Party Committee, the government, and the people here, Dong Da ancient village will be preserved, promoted, and become an attractive community tourism destination.
