Delicious dishes from mountain goats

TQO - Mountain goat meat has long been a specialty of the highland Lam Binh. Local people have prepared many unique delicious dishes such as grilled goat with lemon, stir-fried goat, steamed goat, etc.

Grilled goat with lemon

Grilled goat with lemon is a favorite dish of many people. To have a delicious grilled goat dish, you need to clean the goat meat with white wine. Put lemongrass and crushed ginger in a pot of water and place on the stove to boil. When the water boils, boil the goat meat to remove the odor during 10 - 15 minutes, then turn off the heat, drain, then cut into thin, bite-sized pieces. The dish is served with green bananas, lemongrass, and figs, and dipped in soy sauce.

Goat steamed with ginger and lemongrass

After cleaning, slice the goat meat and put it in a large bowl to marinate with seasoning, sugar, and fish sauce for 20 - 30 minutes. Prepare a clean pot, line the bottom of the pot with cut lemongrass, then spread the marinated goat meat evenly on top, add a few slices of chili, then steam the goat meat and lemongrass for about 30 - 40 minutes. When the goat is fully cooked and fragrant, turn off the stove. This dish is best served with ginger sauce.

Goat sauce

Goat can be processed into a sauce to dip bread or scorched rice. Just marinate with lemongrass, seasoning and white wine during 15 minutes. Heat the pan on the stove, add 1 teaspoon of cooking oil, fry minced onion and garlic until fragrant, add the marinated goat meat and stir-fry until the meat changes color. Add 150 ml of water and simmer the meat over low heat for about 20 minutes. Then turn up the heat, slowly pour in the cornstarch mixture until it thickens. Finnally, you have a bowl of extremely delicious goat sauce.
