Dao women perform bell dance.
For the Dao ethnic group, bell dance is the main dance in important ceremonies such as: Tet dance (a ritual to thanks to ancestors, Ban Vuong); Lap tinh; Tet Thanh Minh, farewell to the deceased, praying for good harvest, etc.
The dance is usually performed by 6 or 8 people. The small bronze bell with a hilt is the main instrument for the dancer to hold, creating rhythmic music.
The bell dance expresses the Dao people's desire for a prosperous and happy life.
