TQO - Hoang Duc Hung in Hamlet 2 Thuoc Thuong, Tan Thanh Commune (Ham Yen) has become a pioneer to inspire households towards clean agricultural production.

In 1998, Hung got married and was left a large area by his parents for economic development. In addition to planting acacia, he invested in growing 5 hectares of orange, of which 3 hectares of king orange.

Realizing the benefits of organic agriculture, right after the end of the 2017-2018 orange crop, he decided to convert his family's entire 3-hectare area of king orange to organic production.

After 3 years, the orange tree has grown stably again, bearing more fruit. At the same time, his organic orange garden is certified organic by PGS recognized by the Tuyen Quang Organic Agriculture Association.

In order to have more people grow and take care of oranges in the organic direction. In 2018, he and 6 organic orange growers in the district established the Ham Yen Organic King Orange Cooperative Group. Joining the cooperative group, members are supported, learned and grown organic oranges according to the technical process.

In particularly, he is the leader of the Marketing group of the cooperative with the work of contacting and consuming oranges. The cooperative's organic oranges are now sold at clean food stores in many provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, etc.

Appreciating the organic farming model, Vice Chairman of Tan Thanh Commune People's Committee Dang Van Bao said that Hoang Duc Hung is an active, dynamic and creative farmer who takes the lead in boldly innovating the agricultural model. From the success of his clean orange garden, it has helped many farmers change their thinking and choose the direction of sustainable agricultural development. Currently, the commune has replicated 14 hectares of orange under organic standards.
