With the desire to get rich on his own homeland, Ma Viet Hung in Ba Hamlet has actively gained knowledge and techniques of growing and caring for oranges. He has boldly invested in planting more than 400 orange trees and opened a grocery store. With this economic model, he earns about VND300 million per year.
Indeed, Yen Thuan Commune today is covered a green colour of forests, fruit hills, green tea gardens, farms with all kinds of livestock. Vice Chairman of Yen Thuan Commune People's Committee Nguyen Duc Loi said that, currently the commune has 344 hectares of tea; 756 hectares of production forest and 644 hectares of oranges. In 2021, the commune's per capita income reached VND36 million per person per year while the poverty rate of the locality accounts for 42%. Especially, 100% of households in Yen Thuan access electricity from the national grid; 100% of children go to school at the right age; 77% of households have access to clean, hygienic wate.
