Vice Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang inspects the construction progress of DT 188 route road.

The project of renovating and upgrading DT 188 road from Chiem Hoa District to Lam Binh District, is entrusted by the Department of Transport. Accordingly, the route from km 48 + 00 in Chiem Hoa District to km 86 + 300 in Tho Binh Commune (Lam Binh District) will be upgraded and expanded over 38 km long.

The road is designed according to the standard of III-grade mountainous road. The roadbed is widened 9 m, in which, the asphalt road surface is 6 m wide. Particularly, 3 sections passing through the centre of Chiem Hoa District, the centre of Phuc Son Commune, and Tho Binh Commune (Lam Binh District) will have additional items of drainage ditches and sidewalks.

In addition, the project also constructs 2 new bridges at km 73 + 389 and km 83 + 163 on the route. The total project investment capital is more than VND598.8 billion.

The project started in March 2021. The construction period is 24 months. Currently, the construction units have concentrated human resources and mechanical equipment to construct many items to ensure the quality and schedule.
