Returning to the hometown to get rich

TQO - Ban Sy Thuy from Khau Trang village, Hong Thai commune (Na Hang) used to have a job with high income, but in the end, with his love of farming, he returned to his hometown to start up.

Ban Sy Thuy is taking care of the family's pear garden.

First, he renovated 1 hectare of the family's hilly land. After that, he bought 30 black sows for breeding and 100 chickens to raise.

Right from the beginning of developing this model, he thought that he would have to combine it with tourism, choosing pets are also specialties of the highlands. In order to have clean food for the pigs and chickens, he actively planted more bananas and wild vegetables to create green food, added rice bran, corn bran to increase meat quality, etc.

"I'm training the chickens, just knocking the gong will fly from the hill to the coop. It would be very interesting for tourists to come here, go to collect eggs on the hill, and see pear flowers and plum blossoms", he said.

The house has 100 plum trees and over 150 pear trees, so he will buy more ancient pear trees to plant around his farm.

After Tet this year, the Mac Cop homestay in Khau Trang village of Ban Sy Thuy's house welcomed a lot of tourists.

In order to develop tourism effectively, Thuy and his sister also actively renovate the landscape of the family's campus, participate in classes teaching skills to welcome visitors to create a friendly and satisfying impression.

Although he has just started his business for a year, during the last Tet holiday, he sold over 3 tons of pigs and 1 ton of chickens. Minusing the profit, he earned about VND200 million.

In addition, he also makes clips on Youtube and Tiktok to promote the products of his homeland.
