Expanding markets for clean vegetable products

TQO - In February, with the support of local authorities, Ninh Thai Safe Vegetable Cooperative (Ham Yen) was established with 15 members. The cooperative has found solutions to expand markets for clean vegetable products.

The cooperative's concentrated vegetable growing area has a scale of more than 5 hectares. At the end of 2022, the cooperative's vegetable products were granted VietGAP certification. This is an important step, affirming the brand name and enhancing the value of the village's vegetable products.

Since being recognized as VIETGAP, the products of the cooperative are consumed not only at traditional market but also at the clean food stores and restaurants both inside and outside the province.

The cooperative has a charter capital of more than VND1 billion. To sove the problem of stable output, the cooperative will enhance the promotion and introduction as well as ordinate with reputable partners in vegetable production and consumption.

At the same time, the cooperative instructed and supervised the members to strictly follow the VIETGAP process. The cooperative has planned to select some key products to develop OCOP products such as kohlrabi, cabbage, bitter melon, etc.

In the coming time, the cooperative will complete the process of packing and storing products with barcodes and beautiful packages in order to meet the needs of consumers. This is an important premise to bring Ninh Thai safe vegetable to famous supermarkets and collective kitchens.

In addition, the local authorities will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to create conditions for the cooperative to expand markets for clean vegetable products.
