Rural roads in Thuong Lam commune are well-invested to meet the needs of travel and tourism development of the commune.

Although only 8 out of 19 newly-advanced rural criteria have been achieved, according to Ma Cong Kham, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Lam commune, the remaining criteria only have a few small targets to be completed.

Making use of the available advantages of the locality, the commune mobilizes people to develop commercial services from business shops, convenient grocery stores, mini supermarkets, etc.

The commune focuses on promoting tourism development. There are 21 homestay tourism service households in the commune, an increase of 4 households compared to 2022. This year the commune strives to reach VND18 billion in revenue from tourism.

Agriculture and fishery still account for a high proportion of the commune's income, so the commune always creates favorable conditions for people to access preferential loans for economic development. Since then, more and more economic development models have appeared in the commune.
