Quy Quan develops OCOP products

TQO - From growing fruit trees, many households in Quy Quan Commune, Yen Son District have a prosperous and happy life. The average income of commune is over VND30 million per person per year.

Currently, the commune has 291.3 hectares of fruit trees, of which 235 hectares of pomelo, over 40 hectares of custard apple trees, the rest of other fruit trees. The annual revenue from fruit trees is VND6 - 7 billion VND. The fruit orchards are mainly concentrated in villages 5, 6, 7, 8.

To implement the ‘One commune one product’ project, Quy Quan Commune is developing pomelo and custard apple as special products of the locality.

Many fruit-growing households in the commune have applied organic planting and care, creating delicious and safe quality of pomelo and custard apple for consumers.

Trieu Van Tu, head of village 7 said that the village has 69 households with 285 people, 100% of households grow fruit trees, with an area of over 40 hectares. The village has 40 households growing organically. The village determined to improve the quality of fruit trees with high economic value.

In the coming time, Quy Quan Commune will support local people in applying high technology in the development of high-quality fruit tree material areas, and organic production according to certified standards. At the same time, the commune will focus on building product brands.
