According to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Project 308 aims to support 1,606 households to repair and build new houses by the end of 2022. By the end of September 2022, the number of newly built and repaired houses has reached 2,339 houses.
As of September 30, 2022, over 22 thousand turns of poor households were granted loans of over VND1,052 billion; over 15 thousand near-poor households were borrowed VND745 billion, 6 thousand households that have just escaped poverty were borrowed more than 286 billion. This preferential capital has supported policy beneficiaries to develop family economy, increase income, and rise out of poverty.
According to the Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the result of mobilizing resources to implement the province's poverty reduction policies and programs until September 2022 is over VND233 billion. In which, investment support to develop socio-economic infrastructure in poor districts is over VND148.5 billion; support of diversification of livelihoods and development of economic models for poverty reduction is over VND18 billion; support of production development and nutrition improvement is over VND7.8 billion, development of vocational education and sustainable jobs is nearly VND48.8 billion; communication and information poverty reduction is VND1.1 billion and capacity building of the program is over VND6.2 billion.
In 2021, there are 2,907 turns of poor and near-poor households being supported with over VND18.8 billion from the fund for the poor to renew and repair houses, and provide medical examination and treatment, etc.
It is the timely support capital from all levels and sectors that has created motivation and aroused the people's desire to escape poverty.
