In 2021, Ninh Thai Hamlet received and implemented the project of growing safe vegetables from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) with a scale of 5 hectares.
Accordingly, in August 2021, Ninh Thai Safe Vegetable Cooperative Group was established with the participation of 12 households. Joining the cooperative group, the members are supported with seeds and trained on the technical process of safe vegetable intensification. In addition, the project has supported a group of 1 greenhouse with an area of 200 m2.
Since the establishment of the cooperative group, it has contributed to changing the production practices of local people, improving the competition and the quality of clean vegetable products. Safe vegetable production needs to absolutely follow 3 principles: protection of personal health, community health and the environment.
Recently, soil and water samples of Ninh Thai safe vegetable cooperative group met the VietGAP standards. By December 2022, the cooperative group will be granted a VietGAP certificate. From there, it will contribute to improve the value of vegetables in Ninh Thai.
In the coming time, the commune will continue to communicate and mobilize people to expand the model of safe vegetable production. At the same time, local authority will coordinate with districts to support farmers in producing vegetables under linkage chains and applying science and technology to production.
