Afforestation is the economic development direction that people in the village choose because the terrain is mainly mountainous.
Currently, Nam Kep village has over 70 households out of 100 households with planted forests with more than 300 hectares of planted forests and nearly 100 hectares of fruit trees such as oranges, lemons, and grapefruits. Many households have large amounts of planted forests that bring in hundreds of millions each year.
Developing cattle and buffalo farming in stables and planting forests has helped the people of Nam Kep village escape poverty and get rich effectively.
Up to now, the whole village has only 3 poor households, the proportion of fairly rich households accounts for over 60%, the proportion of educated families is over 90%, the village meets 19 out of 19 criteria for building new rural areas.
