Accordingly, the province's forestry sector has achieved important results. The province has formed a planted forest material area of 190,000 hectares; Forest coverage reached 65%, ranking third in the country; Timber exploitation output reached 900,000 m3/year, ranking first in the country in terms of timber exploitation output from planted forests; Newly planted reached over 11,000 hectares of forest.

To date, the entire province has 48,318.5 hectares of forest certified for sustainable forest management (FSC), the highest in the country.

With the development of the forestry industry in recent years, it has not only created revenue and jobs for workers, stabilized the lives of many households in ethnic minority areas, but also kept a healthy living environment.
