Digital transformation of ethnic affairs

TQO - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed a Decision approving the Project "Strengthening digital transformation of ethnic affairs by 2030".

The objective of the project is to strengthen digital transformation of ethnic affairs with the aim of developing e-Government, towards digital Government at state management agencies on ethnic affairs, developing digital economy, developing digital society in ethnic minority areas, promoting the national digital transformation process.

The project also requires the construction and development of applications to disseminate ethnic policies and support information on traffic, warning of natural disasters, rescue and relief in ethnic minority areas, etc.

In addition, building and developing an electronic library on ethnic affairs with the ability to exchange and link with other library information agencies; upgrading and perfecting the online training system for cadres, civil servants, public employees and ethnic minorities.

In the development of digital society, 50% of enterprises, cooperatives, and ethnic minority household economies are trained, instructed, guided, and supported to access information on digital technology, digital technology applications, and digital transformation in production and business activities; 80% of village, hamlet, and prestigious people in ethnic minorities are trained and coached on digital transformation; there are policies to support telecommunications and Internet services for ethnic minorities in disadvantaged areas, remote areas, etc.

The issuance of the Project is to effectively implement Directive No. 34 of the Prime Minister on the development of digital transformation projects of ministries, branches, and localities.

The solutions proposed in the Project will also contribute to economic development, ensuring social security, preserving and promoting the fine cultural identities of ethnic minorities in Vietnam.
