Many families in Minh Thai Hamlet have invested in developing mechanical production facilities over recent years. This production model has created jobs for local labourers with an average monthly income of between VND4 million and VND7 million per person.
In addition, lots of households in Minh Khuong Commune have converted ineffective hilly land to that useful for growing sugarcane as it is easy to grow and requires little care. Accordingly, local people harvest approximately 100 tonnes of sugarcane with over VND80 million in profit for each crop.

Minh Khuong Commune is now home to 1,008 households, living in 10 hamlets. The People’s Committee of the commune has constantly encouraged and created favourable conditions for the locals to do business. Every year, local authorities also coordinate with prestigious enterprises and units to organise consultation sessions and recruitment of local labourers to work at domestic industrial parks.
The commune creates jobs for an average of 128 local labourers each year with 30-60% of labourers working in industrial zones.
The commune has also created favourable conditions for needy households to borrow loans in order to expand their income. As a result, the poverty rate has decreased to 28.2%. Currently, the average income of people in the locality is nearly VND27 million per person per year.
