Addressing shortage of grid electricity in Na Hang

TQO - There are 17 villages and hamlets in Na Hang District that lack electricity; therefore, the district authorities have come up with several measures, focusing on the installation of transformer lines and stations in order to bring electricity to remote areas such as these.

Na Hang District has faced numerous difficulties in power grid development in rural areas due to the steep mountainous terrains and widely dispersed households. In order to remove these obstacles, the District People’s Committee has cooperated with the provincial Department of Industry and Trade to carry out a rural electricity supply project from the national grid of Tuyen Quang Province for the 2013 – 2020 period.

Accordingly, 14 hamlets in Na Hang will soon be connected to the national power grid. The construction units have gathered human resources and transferred equipment to help supply electricity for local people.

Na Hang District has implemented a project of building transmission lines and transformer stations to supply electricity for Yen Hoa, Hong Thai, Da Vi, and Sinh Long Commune with a total cost of over VND75 billion.

The local people were so excited about the rural electricity supply project. They voluntarily donated the land to construct poles and arranged accommodations for the workers. Furthermore, young people also helped the construction units build the new transformer stations and install the lines.

To achieve the target of 100% of villages in Na Hang being connected to the national power grid, Na Hang Power Company has proactively worked with the relevant departments to take advantage of various projects, providing the local people with electricity. In 2020, the local power sector has approved in excess of VND3 billion in investment for rural construction and rehabilitation in order to improve the quality of electricity supply in remote areas.
