ĐT 186 stretching from Thuong Am Commune to Dai Phu Commune is an important traffic route which was asphalted in 2008. However, the large number of trucks circulating on this road has greatly affected to its pavement layer, with some points having been seriously damaged.

In order to remove these obstacles, in late 2018 to present, the People’s Committee of Son Duong District has cooperated with the Tuyen Quang Road Maintenance and Repair Unit to repair 26 km on ĐT 186 road route from Son Nam to Hong Lac Commune.

Furthermore, the road connecting the centre of Van Son Commune to Hong Lac Commune, which has been under construction since October 2018, has had 3 kilometres asphalted so far. This is the only project without site clearance compensation. The commune authorities have appealed for voluntarily land donation. As a result, 2.4 hectares of land has been donated by about 43 local households.

The district People’ Committee has balanced capital budget to patch inter-commune roads. Additionally, it has made an investment estimate of VND5 billion from the district’s budget for the first phase of upgrading and mending.

In 2020, the People’s Committee of Son Dương District will invest VND96 billion from the district’s budget to repair 8 roads in the area, in which, there is a road route under construction which is expected to be put into use in December this year.

Recently, the People’s Council of Tuyen Quang Province has approved a plan to build a road connecting Hong Lac Commune to Truong Sinh Commune to facilitate regional economic connection among the southern communes of Son Duong District and communes in Vinh Phuc Province.
