Na Hang strives to turn brocade into a unique tourism product

TQO - As a locality with many unique cultural features, Na Hang District has gradually restored and preserved brocade weaving craft of ethnic minorities, striving to turn brocade weaving into a typical tourism product.

Brocade weaving is expected to be a highlight in Na Hang tourism.

According to Hoang Minh Dang, Head of Culture and Information Division of Na Hang District, the district's cultural sector is planning to restore the traditional brocade weaving villages such as Da Vi, Thuong Nong, Yen Hoa, Hong Thai, etc.

To date, the district has opened 10 training classes on brocade weaving in the communes, putting hand-woven brocade products as a highlight of the district's tourism.

Currently, Na Hang District People's Committee has proactively directed the specialised departments to implement plans in bringing brocade weaving to a new position in the district's tourism. In the coming time, the district will open weaving classes, build brands and diversify product designs, and introduce products at major domestic and foreign fairs and festivals.
