With a surface area of more than 40 hectares, Khon lake is surrounded by the Cham Chu mountain range and primeval forest, thus, the climate is cool and fresh all year round. Many islands belonging to the lake are covered with the green coloration of fruit trees.

Each island on the lake is considered a fruit garden with many kinds of fruit trees that have become the trademark of Ham Yen District such as the King orange, pomelo, guava, and “tu quy” (four-season) lemon.
Tourists can row boats with the locals and experience fishing services on the lake. In addition, they can visit the fish cages and haul in fishing nets with the fishermen as well as grilling the fresh fish on the charcoal stove by themselves.
Fishing and visiting the fruit gardens at Khon lake combined with exploring the Cham Chu primeval forest are an unforgettable experience for many holiday makers.
