TQO - In order to build green - clean - beautiful, environmentally friendly residential areas, the Yen Son District Women's Union has had many creative ways to raise members' awareness of environmental protection from their own families and communities.

From plastic waste, women's union members of the Nong Truong residential group, Yen Son town have decorated and built flower beds on the roads.

Currently, the Union has built 55 groups and clubs to prevent and combat plastic waste and protect the environment with 1,058 members; 136 models of collecting, classifying and treating waste at households.

The Union has built 191 self-management models for women on environmental protection in residential communities.

The Union's grassroots units have supported and mobilized members to build 100 public waste incinerators and 350 household waste incinerators.

In addition to building a branch fund from waste collection and classification activities, grassroots associations also encourage members to use waste sources to recycle into useful items that can be used to decorate and beautify roads, create green landscapes such as vases, flower pots, flower beds, ornamental plants, etc.

These meaningful activities not only contribute to the implementation of environmental criteria but also help many women members in difficult circumstances through the sale of plastic waste to raise funds.
