According to a report by the World Bank, hospital fees and tuition fees account for 30 to 35% of total spending by poor households in Vietnam. Therefore, basic needs such as education and healthcare are becoming the biggest barriers on the path to poverty reduction and development, especially for households with below-average incomes.
When public policies are designed to serve the majority, allocate and share profits, especially for disadvantaged groups, social trust will be restored and strengthened. Taking people as the center demonstrates the sustainable development motto of our Party and State, truly "leaving no one behind".
Hopefully, our Party and State will have ways to make the correct and humane policy of free hospital and tuition fees successful, creating the foundation for sustainable development.
