Promoting “Showing Gratitude” movement in Lam Binh District

TQO - Lam Binh District has well implemented the movement of "Showing gratitude" to policy beneficiary families and national contributors in the locality over recent years.

The whole district now has 241 war invalids, sick soldiers, martyrs' families and revolutionary contributors. In spite of many difficulties, the local authorities always pay attention to and effectively implement policies toward national contributors.

Every year, the district raises a "Showing Gratitude" fund to help policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors by repairing and building their houses and visiting and giving gifts to them on major holidays. The district built and repaired five houses at a total cost of VND100 million in 2019.

Leaders of Lam Binh District offer incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the district’s martyrs’ cemetery.

There are 12 policy beneficiary households and national contributors in Hong Quang Commune. The local authorities have developed a "Gratitude Fund” to support policy beneficiary families in all aspects, contributing to improving their living standards and raising their incomes. 100% of policy beneficiary households have been provided with loans for production activities and many families have become classed as better-off and well-off households.

Thuong Lam Commune has also organised activities to visit and take care of families of national contributors as well as helping policy beneficiary families repair and build new houses in addition to organising meaningful activities to mark the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers Day (July 27).

In the coming time, Lam Binh District will continue to carry out activities to care for policy beneficiary families and national contributors in the locality. The district will focus on providing loans for production and creating jobs for members of policy beneficiary families and national contributors to help them have more stable lives.
