At the age of 84, Nguyen Thi Tuyet from village 20, Duc Ninh commune (Ham Yen) raises more poultry to improve her life.

From 2021 up to now, Ham Yen district has 5 households voluntarily applying to be removed from the list of poor households.

Immediately after receiving the application from the people, the district conducts to each household to review and re-verify the living standards and income of the households, and then follow the people's wish to get out of poverty.

Determining poverty reduction as a key task in new rural construction, Ham Yen district has made efforts to implement many solutions to create livelihoods for people to have jobs, incomes, and stabilize their lives.

Since 2021, the district has organized 4 job sessions; more than 8,000 jobs were created in the fields of agriculture, forestry, industry, trade, service, labour export; disbursed over VND57 billion for nearly 1,000 poor households to get credit loans.

To date, the district has reduced 2,210 poor households, The poverty rate is over 14%. People's living standards have been continuously improved.

Those petitions to get out of poverty are beliefs and affirmations that Ham Yen people want to be self-reliant and join hands in building a new rural district.
