Bringing digital technology in the life

Stemming from the renewal of political education work of the union, the Tuyen Quang Provicial Union's Party Standing Committee came up with the idea to establish the Youth Newsletter Online. The newsletter focuses on communication of activities such as ‘Good People - Good Deeds’ program, instructions on skills of union activities, poetry and music corner of union members, etc. The newsletter helps young people to grasp important information of union facilities in Tuyen Quang city.

Currently, membership management software is being applied by youth unions at all levels. Membership information on the system will be displayed in a holistic, centralized and comprehensive manner on a national scale. It fully meets the requirements of storing, managing, searching and exploiting the database of union members.

At the union facilities, union members have now become the core force in the community digital technology group. More than 3,000 union members and young people have joined the community digital technology group in the province. They take the lead in supporting people to install cashless payment apps; closely coordinate with banks in guiding the installation and opening of electronic payment accounts via smartphones to people; deploying VNeID electronic identification application; gradually form the habit of paying expenses through digital technology.

Creating a spread

Promoting the advantage of the fast connection of information technology, the Provincial Youth Union has set up the fanpage "Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tuyen Quang Province" attracting over 18,000 likes and over 20,000 followers. From this fanpage, union members and youth have timely updated information about movements, union activities, good models, domestic and local news, etc.

In addition, the union establishments also actively connect and interact with union members through zalo and facebook applications. Therefore, information at the grassroots is captured in a timely manner and responded more quickly.

The province's youth activities and movements are increasingly being renewed on digital platforms. Online meetings and trainings have saved time and costs. Many contests, startup ideas, background information, and good examples have been posted on the web and fanpage, creating a strong connection to the community.

Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Duong Minh Nguyet said that, Tuyen Quang Provicial Union's Party Standing Committee has determined that improving digital capacity for young people and implementing solutions to participate in digital transformation is a key task throughout the union work and the youth movement.

In the coming time, unions at all levels will focus on applying information technology and digital transformation to all contents and activities of the union, demonstrating the core and leading role of youth.
