In the context of the country's strong transformation in growth model, promoting sustainable development based on science, technology and high-quality human resources, the Party's policy on universalizing preschool education for children from 3 to 5 years old is a meaningful step forward.
This is the first time that universal education has been expanded down to the preschool age, a decision that is not only deeply humane, but also clearly demonstrates a strategic vision for early human development.
To concretize this policy, the Government has just submitted to the National Assembly for consideration an investment of more than VND116,000 billion in the 2026-2030 period. The resources will be invested in nurturing, caring for and educating children of preschool age from 3 to 5 years old; investing in developing the network of schools, classrooms and policies for managers, teachers and staff implementing universal preschool education.
In the context of many budget difficulties, allocating such a large resource to preschool children not only shows the priority in resource allocation, but also reflects a new development mindset, taking early education as the foundation for building the future of the country. It is not just an educational policy, but a declaration of responsibility and aspiration for the future of the country - where every child, whether in the lowlands or highlands, can begin their life journey with a fair and loving start. This also demonstrates the superiority of our regime.
