Doan Hung bridge on Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho highway is being completed.

Currently, 40.2 km of the entire route has over 30 construction points, the roadbed in many sections is 17 m wide while the road surface is 14 m wide.

During a visit to inspect the construction progress of the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway project in September 2022, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province to complete the procedures for adjusting investment policies to implement the project of the road surface phase 2. At the same time, the Prime Minister directed an additional support of VND500 billion for the project from the increase of central budget revenue in 2022 to invest road surface phase 2.

Under the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has instructed the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province and the People's Committee of Phu Tho province to carry out procedures to increase the scale of Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway project up to 4 lanes and design speed 120km/h.

Overcoming all difficulties, the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway project phase I, after adjustment with a total investment of VND3,712 billion, has reached over 65%.

When the project is completed and put into use, it will contribute to reducing accidents and traffic jams on National Highway 2; shortening the distance from 70 km to 40 km, strengthening the connection between Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho provinces with the regional traffic network and the national transport system, improving the efficiency of the operation of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.
