Special dishes in Lam Binh District attract many visitors.
The unique dishes of Lam Binh upland people include black pork, hill chicken, duck, dried buffalo meat, goat meat, clean fish, wild vegetables, ... Black pigs, hill chickens and ducks are naturally grazed by local people, so the meat is sweet and fat.
People in Lam Binh District make lots of delicious dishes from black pigs or buffalo such as smoked pork (pork hung up in kitchen), fermented pork, sausage, dry buffalo meat, and dry buffalo skin. On winter days, sitting by the fire in the stilt houses to enjoy these foods is very interesting.
Lam Binh is also famous for its duck noodle. Lam Binh duck noodle dish attracts enjoyers foremost by the noodles. Vermicelli is made from local rice so it has a deep sweet taste. Ducks are grazed naturally, therefore, the meat is delicious. Particularly, flavor emanating from the ground “doi” seeds, "mac mat" leaves and "hung rung" vegetable.
