Tuyen Quang strives to resume export and consumption of agricultural products

TQO - Local enterprises in Tuyen Quang Province have exerted every effort to resume export activities and boost consumption of agricultural products amidst the difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The packaging division of Song Lo Tea Company (Yen Son District) is now working overtime to pack 25 tonnes of dried tea that will be exported to the Afghanistan market via an intermediary in Hanoi.

Thank to this solution, the company has sold over 187 tonnes of dried tea, earning estimated revenue of VND4.58 billion, equal to the same period in 2019. The company has partnered with enterprises to produce specialty teas to supply the US, Japanese and Taiwanese (China) markets.

Workers at Song Lo Tea Joint Stock Company, Yen Son District, are packing products to export to the Afghanistan market.

Instead of wholesale trade for organisations and businesses as well as export via border trade as before, Son Duong Sugar Joint Stock Company has shifted to distributing their sugar products to agents both inside and outside the province. Since April, the company has consumed 5,000 tonnes of sugar through agent networks.

The provincial Department of Industry and Trade has worked with the local agriculture and rural development sector to implement trade promotion programmes, seek sustainable markets and connect partners in a bid to help local enterprises in consuming their products.

In the midst of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in many countries, local enterprises need to develop new market development strategies while paying more attention to the domestic market.
