Over the past five years, the province’s agro-forestry and fishery production value has increased by 4.17% per year on average. Many local concentrated commodity farming areas have brought about high efficiency, such as orange, tea and grapefruit growing areas.
The province has over 1,690 ha dedicated to agricultural crops and over 15,000 m3 for fish cage farming meeting VietGAP standards. There are over 50 local agricultural brands in the area, with some well-known ones including Bat Tien My Bang tea, Tuyen Quang honey and Xuan Van grapefruit.

Tuyen Quang currently has 131,784 ha of forests for raw material production, with 25,366 ha having received FSC certification. On average, localities across the province plant over 11,000 ha of forests each year, generating annual production of over 900,000 m3 of timber.
Buffalo farming is developing linkage chain models in the districts of Chiem Hoa and Yen Son. Each year, farmers can enjoy profits of VND4-5 million on each buffalo. Artificial insemination in buffaloes is being conducted in many communes in the districts of Chiem Hoa, Yen Son and Son Duong.
Thanks to various progressive solutions, Tuyen Quang’s agriculture has witnessed remarkable changes, contributing to local socio-economic development.
