There are currently 225 tourist accommodation establishments in the province, with 2,946 rooms and 4,116 beds. Due to the impact of the disease, many of these establishments were forced to temporarily cease operations. Therefore, reviving the tourism sector is emerging as a priority for many localities.
Van Tue Hotel in Tan Quang Ward, Tuyen Quang City, Tuyen Quang Province, has reopened after the COVID-19 outbreak.
Accordingly, the Tuyen Quang Power Company has reduced the retail price of electricity for tourist accommodation establishments through the application of business electricity prices for three months, including April, May and June 2020.
The Tuyen Quang Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company has also implemented support by offering a 20% discount on the total bills for tourist accommodation establishments.
In addition, telecom operators including Viettel and Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) - Tuyen Quang have offered a 50% discount on total internet subscription bills.
It can be said that the assistance from service providers has contributed to encouraging tourism workers in Tuyen Quang Province to overcome difficulties after the COVID-19 pandemic.
