Tuyen Quang planted more than 10,300 hectares of forest in 2021

TQO - Tuyen Quang Province has planted 10,365.8 hectares of forest as of July 15, reaching 100.2% of the plan, including 9,903.4 hectares of concentrated forests and 462.4 hectares of scattered planted forests. Tuyen Quang City and four districts of Son Duong, Chiem Hoa, Na Hang, Lam Binh achieved over 100% of the plan.

Chiem Hoa District takes lead in afforestation plan. The district has planted 1,917.7 hectares, reaching 116.2% of the plan. Previously, local people in the communes of Kim Binh, Tri Phu, Linh Phu only focused on growing bananas, but they have transformed crop structure to planting forests in recent years.

In Kien Thiet and Trung Truc communes (Yen Son District), the areas of barren land and bare hills have been covered with green colour of young acacia and eucalyptus. As of mid-May, Kien Thiet Commune had planted 186 hectares of forest, reaching 105% of the plan.

The movement of planting 1 billion trees under the Prime Minister's scheme, effectively implemented in many localities in Tuyen Quang Province, is also considered as a catalyst for the province to complete the goal of planting 10,350 hectares of new forests in the shortest time.
