There are currently seven exclusive trademarks, including Tuyen Quang honey, Thai Long grapefruit, Vina peanuts, exported bamboo toothpicks, My Lam tea and Kim Phu noodles. The city is continuing to develop exclusive trademarks for Dong Day red chicken and the Kim Phu guava, amongst others.
Phong Tho Beekeeping Cooperative currently has 2,000 colonies of honey bee, selling about 300 tonnes of honey and 5 tonnes of pollen on average each year. In 2013, the cooperative registered an exclusive trademark for Phong Tho honey at the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam.
Phong Tho honey products in An Khang Commune, Tuyen Quang City are sold at fairs both inside and outside the province.
Established in 2016, Thuat Yen Agriculture and Forestry Service Cooperative in Kim Phu Commune built a brand of "Thuat Yen Rice Noodles". With a production capacity of 6 quintals of noodles per day, an average of 15 - 18 tonnes per month and a revenue of VND2.6 billion - VND2.7 billion per year, the cooperative has created stable jobs for 9 workers with an income of VND5 million per person per month.
In addition, An Khang Commune is now completing procedures for granting exclusive trademarks for Dong Day red chicken in order to increase its competitiveness in the market. The commune has a total of 30,000 red chickens, concentrated in the hamlets of Truong Thi A, Truong Thi B, and An Loc A.
The exclusive trademark is considered the "visa" for the city's agricultural products to further develop, create jobs and increase incomes for local people.
