A 30 ha safe tea production model has been deployed by the Tuyen Quang Provincial Agricultural Extension Centre in My Bang Commune, Yen Son District, with an annual productivity at over 23 tonnes per ha. The centre has directly connected with My Lam Tea Joint Stock Company to sign a contract on the purchase of nearly 700 tonnes of fresh tea buds with the purchase price set at VND5,000 per kg.
Following this success, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Centre expanded the model to Kim Quan Commune in Yen Son District. The Kim Quan Tea Production and Processing Cooperative has purchased over 30 tonnes of tea buds from local farmers at an average price of VND11,000 per kg to be processed into finished tea products.

In addition to the tea production model, there have been many enterprises and cooperatives covering agricultural product consumption for local farmers. Of which, My Lam Tea Joint Stock Company has purchased over 135 tonnes of fresh tea buds, while the Tuyen Quang Dairy Farm – a branch of the Vietnam Dairy Cow One Member Company Limited – has bought over 40 tonnes of biomass maize as cow feed under an experimental model involving the farming of the new corn variety VN 172 in Trang Da Commune, Tuyen Quang City.
The Provincial Agricultural Extension Centre has also coordinated with the Na Hang District Agriculture and Service Centre to develop an off-season vegetable farming model in Na Hang’s Khau Tinh Commune. Immediately after the model releases its first products, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Centre connected with Tran Vu Agricultural Materials and Products Co., Ltd. to purchase vegetables for local farmers.
This year, Tuyen Quang Province will review all the local agricultural linkage chains in order to promote the successful ones, with the overall aim of facilitating the province’s agricultural commodity production.
