Located about 50 km southwest of Tuyen Quang city, where there are round hills like upside down bowls. Another special feature when coming to hamlet 3 of bat village, Tan Thanh commune (Ham Yen) is the aroma of the dried tea wafting in the air.
Standing from above, looking out into the distance is the majestic Cham Chu mountain. The source water from the Cham Chu range flows to Bat village to nourish the green tea hills all year round.
“The good quality of Bat village tea is probably due to being watered from the source of clean water of Cham Chu mountain. In addition, the improved tea care and harvest process of farmers also creates the quality of tea", director of Bat Village Green Tea Cooperative Pham Van Luan said.
Bat village green tea products now have a firm position in the domestic market.
Returning to Bat village tea area where the fresh air, scenery and environment here are preserved by local people in order to develop the craft village in association with tourism development in the future, many tourists do not forget to check-in or experience of harvesting young green tea buds with farmers.
Hoang Thi Nhung from Vinh Tuy town (Ha Giang) shared that every time she came home to Ham Yen, she would visit Bat village tea hills because of the cool smell of tea.
Developing the brand of “Bat village green tea”
To make delicious tea products, it takes tea growers a lots of stages such as planting, caring to harvesting and processing.
Deputy Director of Bat Village Green Tea Cooperative Ninh Van Tuyen shared that, although it goes a hard growing process, the tea tree brings great value. contributing to improving the income of farmers. Currently, the average selling price of Bat village tea is from VND250,000 to VND300,000 per kg of dry tea.
Tea cultivation in Bat village has existed for a long time, but to make the brand of Lang Bat Green Tea as it is today, it is necessary to mention the active support from all levels and agencies of Tuyen Quang province. In which, the project "supporting agriculture, farmers and rural areas in Tuyen Quang Province (TNSP), since 2013 has helped people of village 3 convert from spontaneous tea cultivation to tea planting and processing according to VietGAP standards.

People in Bat Village have been fully supported from seedlings to harvesting techniques. Since then, it has created a motivation for them to escape the poverty and get rich on their homeland from the traditional craft.
Currently, in village 3, there are 65 tea growing households who are members of Lang Bat Green Tea Cooperative with an area of more than 30 hectares.
Products of Lang Bat Green Tea Cooperative have been recognized as 3-star OCOP products, mainly consumed in the domestic market.

Bat village green tea brand has also appeared on the map of clean agricultural products in Vietnam. Thanks to the development of tea making craft, the lives of the people of Bat Village have changed, the percentage of poor households in the locality has decreased.
