Striving to fulfil the set target in building new-style rural areas

TQO - TuyenQuang province is striving to have seven additional districts to be recognised as new-style rural areas in 2019, bringing the total communes winning the title to 37.

In 2020, ten communes in the province are set to become new-style rural areas. Among them, TrungHoa commune has met 15 “new-style rural area” standards, followed by TuQuan commune with 14 criteria.

The total capital allocated to the 10 communes is over VND214 billion. Of which, VND112 billion will be prioritised to construct 52.3 kilometres of road and 20 schools, VMD25 billion will be spent on four electricity projects, VND 22 billion to build cultural facilities, VND 30 billion to set up seven medical stations, VND 1 billion to realise environmental protection and food safety criteria, VND 10 billion to repair and upgrade dilapidated houses, VND 1.4 billion to improve the broadcasting system at grassroots levels, and around VND615 million to review the planning.

In addition to the 10 communes, three other ones including My Bang and Thai Binh communes in Yen Son district and Trang Da commune in TuyenQuang city are striving to fulfil advanced criteria for a new style rural area. Two communes of VinhQuang in ChiemHoa district and Hoang Khai in Yen Son district are selected to follow the footprints of three above-mentioned communes. At the same time, the province has set a target of having at least 14 hamlets being recognised as models of new-style rural hamlets and 21 household gardens winning the ‘model of new-style garden’ titles.
