Effectively implementing international agreements

TQO - The northern province of TuyenQuang is carrying out 36 international cooperation agreements with localities and foreign organisations in the areas of training, agriculture and rural development, and biodiversity conservation, among others.

TuyenQuang signed a cooperation agreement with Laos in the 2016-2020 period. Accordingly, TuyenQuang and a province in Laos have regularly maintained the exchange of letters and greetings on the major holidays of both sides in addition to the exchange of experience. TuyenQuang's schools have been training dozens of students from Lao Xiangkhouangprovince. The province also gave Laos 100 breeding cows and sent experts and veterinary workers to Laos to help with processing feed and planning grass growing areas to serve cow raising, and with developing a number of key fruit trees.

TuyenQuang also signed a memorandum of understanding on friendship exchanges with Anseongcity, Gyeonggiprovince, in the Republic of Korea. TuyenQuangprovincial People's Committee inked a cooperation agreement with the Representative Office of World Vision International in Vietnam on the implementation of the TuyenQuang’s Na Hang region programme worth US$1.6 million in the 2017-2022 period.


The delegation from Xiangkhouangprovince (Laos) gains experience in grass growing and buffalo and cow raising in Hung My commune, ChiemHoadistrict.

In addition, TuyenQuang also signed many cooperation minutes with foreign organisations to implement projects on agricultural development, health, education, biodiversity conservation, and rural infrastructure construction. The province signed a deal with Good Neighbors International (the Republic of Korea) on the implementation of rural development projects, and also with the People Resources and Conservation Foundation (PRCF from the US) on biodiversity conservation in TuyenQuang. Tan Trao University has also signed many cooperation agreements with universities of Thailand, Poland, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia on scientific research, student enrolment, English teaching, and others.

The effective implementation of international agreements contributes to deepening foreign affairs and international integration of the province. In the future, TuyenQuang will continue to study and deploy more international agreements based on promoting the potentials of both sides while fostering investment and socio-economic developmentin the province.
