Tuyen Quang currently has 290 active agricultural and forestry cooperatives. Of these, there are only 13 high-tech agricultural cooperatives. It requires advanced technology to produce goods before entering the market.

The province should establish 15 cooperatives applying high technology by 2020, according to the provincial People's Committee's plan on developing effective agricultural cooperatives by 2020.

The introduction of organic agricultural products.

Almost all agricultural and forestry cooperatives have applied techniques regarding cultivation, farming and the preservation of product. The number of cooperatives applying automated technology and biotechnology is still very limited. The reason is due to the low level of management capacity and also because a majority of cooperatives remain confused in how to choose high-tech applications for production whilst localities themselves lack qualified high technology consultants.

In the long term, besides the focus on promoting high-tech production value chains, the province will pilot a scheme to bring young graduates into agricultural cooperatives to support them in the development of production and business as well as the application of high technology as a reality.
