Tuyen Quang Province has 54 communes meeting the new rural standards, 8 communes meeting the new advanced rural standards and 1 commune meeting the new-style rural standard. In 2022, the province strives to have 8 more communes meeting new rural standards, 5 communes meeting new advanced rural standards, 2 communes meeting new-style rural standards.
With the development of production models and local efforts, the province now has 128 OCOP products from 64 communes. Many indicators of meeting new rural standards such as infrastructure, capital, production development, people's income increased. The breakthrough in all aspects has given communes the "force" to build urban areas.
Son Nam has the appearance of an urban centre in the south of Son Duong District by convenient roads with National Highway 2C connecting with Vinh Phuc. Roads connecting inter-commune and inter-village have been concreted. The economy is diversified, towards trade, services and industry. The average income per capita of the commune is VND45.6 million per person per year. This is an important stepping stone for Son Nam to become a V-grade city.
As one of the first communes to reach the new rural area, My Bang Commune, Yen Son District is planned to build a V-grade urban area by the year 2025. Currently, the commune has diversified economic sectors with 5 enterprises, 1,000 business households. The people's income is over VND46 million per person per month.
Thanks to the investment of the State along with the initiative of localities and local people in the implementation of the program of building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas have brought new vitality to the communes, creating favorable conditions for the development of new rural areas to reach dynamic urban areas in the future.
