Na Hang District develops agriculture in association with tourism

TQO - Na Hang authorities have proposed many solutions to promote agriculture association with tourism. As a result, the district has established a number of tourism products, attracting tourists both inside and outside the locality.

The district has more than 21,000 hectares of protecting forests and special-use forests, ecological lake and many typical agricultural products such as San Tuyet Hong Thai tea, Da Vi dried vermicelli, glutinous rice, dried buffalo meat, fermented corn wine, and Hong Thai pears.

In order to exploit potentials for agricultural in association with tourism development, the district has synchronously deployed key solutions. In particular, the district authorities have focused on planing commodity production areas, developing tourism establishments to ensures the diversity of tourism types. In addition, the district has built specific tourism models and products affiliated with its characteristics, unique culture and local people of each locality.

Na Hang District possesses 1,300 hectares of Shan Tuyet tea, mostly in the communes of Sinh Long, Hong Thai, Son Phu; 100 hectares of yellow flower sticky rice in Con Lon and Thuong Nong communes; nearly 400 hectares of soybeans and green beans in communes of Da Vi, Yen Hoa, Thuong Nong and Thuong Giap. With more than 8,000 hectares of water surface, Na Hang ecological lake has great potential for aquaculture farming and tourism development. Developing agricultural products in association with tourism is a great potential for farmers to get rich in their own homeland, contributing to raising the value of agricultural products in the area.
