Accordingly, the new expressway will have a total length of 40.2km, including around 11.63km built in Tuyen Quang Province and the rest in Phu Tho Province.

The road will start in Luong Vuong Commune, Tuyen Quang City, and its end point will connect with IC9 intersection of Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway in Phu Tho Town.

The group-A project is implemented from 2019 to 2023, with a total investment of more than VND3.27 trillion (around US$138 million), including VND500 billion expected from the central budget, VND10.79 billion from local budget and the remainder from equity and credit loans.

Regarding the financial plan, the investor will build a toll station on the road to earn back its capital in accordance with the law. The time required for collecting fees is estimated at 19 years and 2 months (from 2023 to 2042).
