Ma Thi Hong guides local people to make products to serve tourists.
Promoting the strength of the locality in developing tourism, Hong and the center's leaders have oriented to open local traditional vocational training classes, including brocade embroidery. The opening of embroidery training classes has received great approval from students and their families. To date, many of her students have made their own pieces of brocade cloth, handkerchiefs, bags, rings, etc.
She is the originator of the idea to establish Lam Binh Brocade Cooperative, with 15 members (mainly students). Currently, the cooperative has a booth to display and introduce unique products of ethnic groups in the area to serve tourists when coming to Lam Binh. It is an honor and pride that at the beginning of 2022, Tuyen Quang Vocational College of Engineering and Technology participated in the National Startup Program and selected all of the Center's students to participate. As a result, Tuyen Quang delegation won the second prize with the project of establishing Lam Binh Brocade Weaving Cooperative.
Not only instructing and encouraging people to preserve and develop their traditional products, Hong also provides fabrics, threads and materials for weaving for them. After completing the product, the Center connects and consumes the product for the people.
With specific and effective activities, over the years, Lam Binh District Continuing Education - Vocational Education Center has always successfully completed its tasks and awarded the Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee as the leading unit in the patriotic emulation movement. Especially, Hong won the Emulation Soldier at grassroots level and received the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for many years.
