Tourists learn about Tuyen Quang tourism information through tourism publications displayed |
The Tuyen Quang Investment Promotion Centre has developed and issued a system of various tourism publications to promote the province’s tourism sector over the past few years. The centre issues tourism publications 20-30 times each year to participate in many tourism activities inside and outside the province, including over 1,000 DVDs, more than 6,000 tourist maps, leaflets, travel guide books, and others. Most of the publications are published bilingually in Vietnamese and English.
Tuyen Quang city always implements forms of tourism promotion at festivals each year. The Culture and Information Office of Tuyen Quang often co-ordinates with the relevant agencies to print a lot of tourism publications. Truong Duc Tien, head of the city’s Office of Culture and Information, said that, on the occasion of the Ha Temple Festival and Thanh Tuyen Festival, the office often issues 1,000 leaflets and brochures to deliver to tourists. Publications are displayed at almost all restaurants, hotels, and dormitories in the city. In addition, each year the Office supplements thousands of leaflets to offer to visitors at temples and pagodas.
These publications have effectively served the propaganda and tourism promotion activities. Visiting Tuyen Quang, tourists are provided with useful information through leaflets and handbooks. Many visitors say that the tourism publications are diverse in content and form while providing helpful information.
Tourism publications also travel along with delegates to major tourism promotion events. Director of the Tuyen Quang Investment Promotion Centre Do Trung Kien said that Tuyen Quang often showcases documentaries and publications to call for investment in tourism projects at trade fairs, seminars, and tourism promotion events held at home and abroad. The publications include the Tuyen Quang tourist handbook (in Vietnamese and English), a tourism map of Tuyen Quang, a DVD entitled "Tuyen Quang - Friendly destination", projects calling for investment, a Tuyen Quang handbook entitled “Potential and investment opportunities” (in Vietnamese and English), leaflets on Tan Trao, Na Hang and My Lam tourism sites, and tourism products and services of local tourism enterprises.
Besides social networks, and printed and electronic newspapers, tourism publications always have their own foothold and play an important role in boosting tourism. Therefore, localities and agencies in the province should continue to invest in, research and design quality tourism publications to impress and attract viewers, contributing to promoting the tourism strengths of the province.
